Strategic Alliance Advances US Gallium and Critical Mineral Independence

US Critical Materials Corp., a prominent rare earth exploration and processing technology firm, is pleased to announce a strategic advisory partnership with GreenMet, a Washington, D.C.-based advisory group specializing in critical minerals strategy and financing. This collaboration represents a key move in advancing domestic rare earth production, with gallium — a mineral of increasing national security significance — taking center stage.

US Critical Materials holds the highest-grade reported gallium deposit in the United States, with concentrations averaging 300 ppm — well above the 50 ppm that the U.S. had been importing, largely from China. Gallium, vital for advanced semiconductors, defense electronics, and satellite communications, has been designated by the U.S. government as a critical mineral with significant supply chain risk. The Company’s Sheep Creek deposit in Montana will prioritize gallium as one of the initial minerals to be processed under its Phase II Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with Idaho National Laboratory (INL).

In line with an Executive Order by President Trump on March 20, 2025, the parties have begun preliminary talks with a major Army installation in Alabama as a potential site for environmentally responsible processing of rare earth elements and critical minerals, strategic storage of these materials, and an Innovation Center to provide critical mineral warfighting capabilities now.

Sheep Creek’s mineralization is unmatched domestically, with ore grades nearing 9% total rare earths (89,932 ppm) and combined neodymium and praseodymium concentrations of 2.4% (23,810 ppm), as confirmed by the Idaho National Laboratory and Activation Labs. The initial 2.5 square mile parcel — part of a larger 11 square mile claim — contains over 60 carbonatite bodies, highlighting its significant potential for high-grade, strategically important resources.

GreenMet will act as strategic advisor to US Critical Materials, assisting efforts to obtain federal funding through grants and concessional loans intended to fortify U.S. critical mineral supply chains. The engagement will be led by GreenMet Founder and CEO Drew Horn, a noted expert in defense supply chain strategy and former senior official at the White House National Security Council, Department of Energy, and Department of Defense.

“Gallium is not merely a mineral — it’s a strategic resource,” said Drew Horn. “US Critical Materials is distinctively positioned to supply high-grade gallium and rare earths from a secure domestic source, directly bolstering U.S. national security and technological autonomy.”

“We look forward to working closely with GreenMet to help establish rare earth and critical mineral sovereignty for the United States,” said Harvey Kaye, Executive Chairman of US Critical Materials.

This alliance reinforces US Critical Materials’ dedication to creating a resilient, domestic supply chain for critical minerals, with gallium as a foundation of its national security mission.
